My name is Tom Johnson, and I'm a doctoral candidate in History at Birkbeck College, University of London. You can see my academic profile here.
My thesis title is: "Jurisdiction in Late-Medieval England". I'm looking at records from a variety of different legal fora, including ecclesiastical, manorial, borough, port/maritime/admiralty, and forest courts for the most part, but I'm also exploring some odd outliers!
I set up this blog to share little bits and pieces that are not of direct relevance to my work, but that I find interesting, and will hopefully be useful to other people too. Anyone may use the material I publish here, but please do reference me where appropriate.
